Concrete Sleepers / JD-SL-122
Storm Grey Sealed Sandstone Block Concrete Sleeper - ISO 9001 Certified
A concrete sleeper with a sandstone block face in storm grey through-coloured concrete with a gloss seal, giving the look of a stacked sandstone wall at a fraction of the weight and cost. Use it to build retaining walls, garden beds and terraces. Each sleeper is 200mm high and 75mm thick, reinforced with two steel bars. Sleepers stack horizontally between galvanised steel H posts, with C posts at the ends, building the wall up 200mm at a time. Choose 1.6m, 2.0m or 2.4m to suit your post centres: shorter spans suit higher walls and softer ground, while longer spans use fewer posts on low walls.
Under 100 sleepers: usually delivered in 3–30 business days. 100 or more: we confirm your delivery date when you order.
Freight is priced to your delivery suburb for most metro areas, or will be confirmed with you before payment.

01 / Product overview
ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer: made by a manufacturer whose quality management system is independently certified to ISO 9001:2015 for the manufacture of concrete retaining wall sleepers. A good fit for engineered walls and commercial work where documented quality assurance is required.
How sleeper lengths work: sleepers are sold by the post centres they suit: 1600, 2000 or 2400mm. The actual sleeper is about 10mm shorter so it fits between the posts. 1.6m spacing suits higher walls and softer ground; 2.4m uses fewer posts on low walls.
Tolerances: ±5mm on height and thickness, ±10mm on length. The decorative face can taper to 68mm thick over the first 100mm at each end.
Finish: this sleeper is sealed, with a factory gloss seal that deepens the colour and helps resist staining. Unsealed sleepers have a natural matt finish.
Matching posts: 75mm sleepers fit 100 Series posts: 100UC H posts between bays, 100PFC C posts at the ends, and 100 Series corner posts where the wall turns.
Colour: concrete varies a little in colour and texture between batches, so order all the sleepers for one wall together.
Also order: sleeper wedges to hold each sleeper tight, concrete for the post piers, and post caps or AllCapps capping to finish the wall.
Supply: from our South East Queensland partner yards.
Sealed finish
Gloss sealed sleepers are made to order. Allow the longer end of the lead time and order the full wall in one batch for colour consistency.

04 / Product FAQs
Before you order.
What are storm grey sealed sandstone block concrete sleepers?
Storm grey sealed sandstone block concrete sleepers have a sandstone block face in storm grey through-coloured concrete with a gloss seal. They give the look of a stacked sandstone wall at a fraction of the weight and cost. Each is 200mm high and 75mm thick with two steel bars, made by an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer.
What length sealed sandstone block concrete sleepers do I need?
Sleeper length is the distance between post centres. Choose 1.6m, 2.0m or 2.4m to match your post spacing. A 2.0m sleeper is made about 10mm short so it slips between posts set at 2.0m centres. Shorter spans suit higher walls and softer ground; longer spans use fewer posts on low walls.
Are storm grey sealed sandstone block concrete sleepers glossy?
Yes. These sandstone block concrete sleepers are through-coloured storm grey with a gloss seal. Concrete still varies a little in colour and texture between batches, so order all the sleepers for one wall together.
Which posts suit storm grey sealed sandstone block concrete sleepers?
75mm sleepers fit 100 Series posts: 100UC H posts between bays, 100PFC C posts at the ends, and 100 Series corner posts where the wall turns. In Queensland, retaining walls over 1m in retained height generally need building approval and an engineered design, so check with your council before you order.
