Post caps cover the open end of a steel post on a retaining wall. A cap keeps water and leaves out of the top of the post, covers the cut steel edge for safety, and gives the wall a finished line. Find the cap to fit your post series below and add it to your cart with your posts.

How to choose post caps.

Match the cap to the post, not the sleeper. Count one cap for every post that finishes at the top of the wall. A post that carries a fence bracket does not take a cap.

Caps push on by hand. A light knock with a rubber mallet seats a tight one. Do not hammer a cap with steel.

Delivery

Post caps are small items that travel with your posts and sleepers on the same delivery.

Lead time

Stocked lines. Usually delivered in 1–5 business days. We confirm the date with you before you pay.

Freight is priced to your delivery suburb for most metro areas, or will be confirmed with you before payment.

Delivery and pick up options are shown on each product. Wait for our confirmation before arranging transport or attending for pick up.

What are post caps made of?

It depends on the product. Our range includes steel caps and plastic caps. The material and colour, such as black or galvanised, are shown on each product.

Are these caps for fence posts?

They are made for the steel posts in a sleeper wall. They are not a versatile fit for every fence post, gate post or set of rails, because those are different sections. If you have a fence or gate post to cap, send us the size and we will tell you if one fits.

What sizes do you stock?

Sizes follow the post series. Pick the product that names your post. If you cannot find it, tell us the post and we will check.

Do prices include GST, and can I return caps?

Prices include GST. Our returns page explains what you can return. Unused steel items can generally go back. We deliver across South East Queensland for now, with the rest of Australia planned.
