General information
Warranty policy
On this page
Many of the products we sell carry a manufacturer's warranty. All claims are made through Jobsite Direct: you deal with us, and we deal with the manufacturer.
1. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or changes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
To the extent the law allows:
- if you buy goods of a kind not ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability is limited to replacing the goods, supplying equivalent goods, or paying the cost of doing so
- we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, delay costs, or the cost of removing or rebuilding a wall.
2. Manufacturer warranties
- Warranty terms vary by product and manufacturer.
- When your payment is taken, we'll email you the warranty, care and returns information for the products you've ordered. You can also ask us for it at any time at sales@jobsitedirect.com.au.
- Manufacturer warranties generally apply only when products are:
- used for their intended purpose
- installed to an engineer's design, where one is required
- installed in line with building codes, Australian Standards and the manufacturer's guides.
3. Damaged, missing or incorrect goods on delivery
- Check your goods when they arrive, and note any damage on the delivery docket if you can.
- Tell us within 7 days of delivery, with photos, at sales@jobsitedirect.com.au.
- If goods were damaged in transit to your site, or we supplied the wrong product or quantity, we'll replace them or refund you, at no cost to you.
4. Damage after delivery
Once goods are delivered or picked up, looking after them is your responsibility. We don't cover damage caused after delivery, for example:
- water or weather damage while stored on site
- damage from machinery, vehicles or other construction work
- damage from handling, moving or cutting the goods.
If you need replacements, we'll supply them at our normal prices, plus a delivery charge.
5. What warranties don't cover
- Natural variation in colour, shade or texture between batches
- Efflorescence: white salt deposits that are harmless and usually weather away within 1 to 2 years
- Small manufacturing tolerances in size
- Products installed without the required engineer's design or approvals, or not in line with building codes, Australian Standards or the manufacturer's guides
- Products chosen for a use they weren't designed for
- Products that have been reused or relocated
- Damage from pressure washing, harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning
- Damage from floods, fire, earthquakes or other extreme events, or from unusual conditions such as high salt or marine exposure
6. How to make a claim
Email sales@jobsitedirect.com.au with:
- your order number
- a description of the problem
- photos of the affected products and the wall or area around them.
We may need to inspect the products on site, with you or the manufacturer. We'll tell you the outcome and what happens next. Keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase.
7. Design and installation
We supply products only. We don't design, engineer or install retaining walls. Walls generally need an engineer's design, and some need council approval. Please check before you build.
8. Caring for your wall
- Inspect your wall regularly and repair small cracks early.
- Clean gently with a soft brush, warm water and mild detergent.
- Don't use pressure washers or chemical cleaners.
- Keep sprinklers from constantly wetting the wall, and make sure drainage and backfill are adequate.
