Zinc Cold Gal Spray (typically a 400g aerosol can) is a zinc-rich protective primer and coating used to prevent rust and corrosion on steel, wrought iron, and galvanised iron surfaces through cathodic (sacrificial) protection.
Using it: clean and dry the bare steel, then apply two light coats to every cut end, drill hole and weld.
Why it matters: any exposed steel will rust without it, and rust spreads under the surrounding galvanising.
