01 / Product overview

Straight or offset: straight brackets put the fence directly above the wall. Offset brackets set the fence back from the wall face, for example to clear capping.

How many: one bracket per fence post that lands on the wall.

Fitting: the bracket bolts through the top of the retaining wall post. Plan fence post positions to line up with your wall posts.

Check your wall design

In Queensland, walls over 1m high, or walls supporting a load such as a driveway or building, generally need an engineer's design and council approval. Confirm sleeper and post sizes against your design before ordering.

04 / Product FAQs

Before you order.

Which retaining wall fence bracket do I need?

3mm brackets suit Colorbond fence posts. 6mm brackets suit timber fence posts. Use a straight bracket where the fence sits directly above the wall post, and an offset bracket where the fence needs to sit back from the wall face, for example to clear capping. There is also a 3mm bracket for 65 Series posts.

Do retaining wall fence brackets come with bolts?

Yes. Each retaining wall fence bracket is supplied as a kit with two nuts and bolts.

Can I fit a fence on a retaining wall with a fence bracket?

Yes, up to 1.8m high where wind loads do not exceed N3. The fence posts bolt to the top of the retaining wall posts with these brackets, so order one bracket per fence post that lands on the wall.

How is a retaining wall fence bracket fixed?

The bracket bolts through the top of the retaining wall post, using the pre-drilled holes. Posts without holes can be drilled on site; touch up with cold gal spray. Plan fence post positions to line up with your wall posts.
